How to Play War – Place your Ante, the same way as in most casino card games.  A card will now be dealt to you and the dealer – if you’re is a higher value you win, if not you lose.  The values are as follows:
       

If both you and the dealer have a card of the same value then you have the option to go to War.  This involves raising your bet by the amount of the Ante.  Three cards are now dealt face down to you and the dealer and a fourth card each is dealt but this time face up.  Whoever has a higher valued fourth card wins.  You can choose not to go to War if you don’t want to risk losing double the initial Ante, so in this case you would Fold and lose your Ante.  If both your fourth-card and the dealer’s fourth-card are tied in value you will win.  You will often see this written as ‘Player wins Second Tie’ on casino War tables.
